MEET THE TEAM
Without the amazing people who are members of the CBU Long Knights, what we do would not be possible. Read on to meet some of them starting with our current president and club founder, Mr. Titus Rehard.
Titus Rehard
Founding Member and Current President
Year: Senior
Major: Computer Science
Tenure: Year 4
Titus started his robotics career at the age of nine. For the past thirteen years, he had led teams in FLL, FTC, and VEX U, advancing to seven international competitions. As a college freshman, Titus founded the CBU Long Knights Robotics Team, which has now grown from one member to fifty.
DIVISION LEAD INTRODUCTIONS
Jason Asariah
Vice President and Senior Electrical Lead
Year: Junior
Major: Electrical & Computer Engineering
Tenure: Year 3
Jason has experience in electric component design from his internship at Bourns Inc. where he worked on high-voltage component design. He also has systems/hardware avionics experience from this internship at SpaceX, working on the avionics team for the Dragon program.
Rose Davidson
Senior Mechanical Lead
Year: Junior
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Tenure: Year 3
Rose discovered robotics in high school, exploring her love of CAD, design, and mechanics. She also loves music, reading, writing, and teaching about the Bible or robotics.
Jackson Davis
Senior Software Lead
Year: Sophomore
Major: Computer Science
Tenure: Year 2
Jackson started robotics in middle school, and having explored all aspects of the field, he discovered his passion in software. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, disc golf, and new projects.
Catherine Wolterbeek
Administrative Assistant and Senior Media Lead
Year: Junior
Major: Mathematics and Communication Studies
Tenure: Year 2
Catherine started the Media Division, and greatly enjoys working with the Engineering Notebook. In her spare time, she is a sci-fi/fantasy novelist and a summer camp counselor.
