OUTREACH

IMG_5903

We just build robots. This is very true! However, the CBU Long Knights are also committed to using their time and energy to serve others around them. The team is thrilled by the numerous opportunities they have over the course of a season to serve and share in various outreach events.

Academic Open House and Involvement Fair

We ran a booth at this event to recruit freshmen to the team and get our name out there. We had major success, with over 40 people signing up as interested in the team, and overall had a very exciting start to our season. We also were able to continue to build relationships with the other clubs, teams, and departments here at CBU.

COE Jumpstart
9.11.2025

We ran a booth at the COE Jumpstart event, alongside other clubs and teams connected to the College of Engineering. We were able to recruit a number of people, and built stronger relationships with many other Engineering clubs.

Club Fair

We ran a booth at the CBU Club Fair, and gained relationships with a number of other clubs as well as recruiting a number of new people to the team.

Anaheim College and Career Fair
10.3.2025

We attended the Anaheim College and Career Fair, representing both our team and the College of Engineering. We answered questions about both the team and about the school in general, creating interest in CBU and in robotics as a whole.

Valley View High School Team Mentoring
10.6.2026

We visited the Valley View Robotics team to answer some questions related to software. We provided our advice on the questions asked, and gave suggestions on how to improve in the future.

FIRST Lego League Tournament
10.8.2026

We hosted the fourth annual FLL tournament at CBU. This was by far the best the competition ever run at CBU, as we had addressed all the issues from previous years/. Everything was planned and prepared better then it ever had been. We managed 70 volunteers and made sure everyone was trained and ready.
